It feels a little like fall today, cool and crisp - a perfect time to enjoy our local farmer's market and summer's final offerings.
Look at these beautiful mushrooms, various types of squash, and apples from Blue Ridge, Georgia. I love meeting the farmers that grow them - it seems to make the meal a little more special. It gives me a sense of connection to the earth and community we live in and a reminder of how grateful I am.
I always find something new that I can't wait to enjoy and share with you. It feels good to support local businesses and entrepreneurs that have created their own products. Today, I met Natalie with Yae Organics and bought Yae Organic Wheat Grass. In the past I have attempted to grow wheat grass at home, but with little success. This product is dried into a powder that is virtually identical to juiced wheatgrass yet is much easier to prepare.
Per serving it has:
- 328% vitamin K (essential to building strong bones and preventing heart disease)
- 129mg chlorophyll (a superfood due to its nutritional and potent antioxidant properties)
- 3503% B12 (helps in healthy regulation of the nervous system, reducing depression, stress, brain shrinkage and fatigue. It also helps maintain a healthy digestive system and protects against heart disease)
Put one scoop in your next smoothie and enjoy!
